One of my favorite movies is Bruce Lee’s masterpiece “Enter The Dragon”.

I like it for many reasons, including the spiritual lessons embedded within. Like the scene where Bruce is about to fight the man who killed his sister. The guy holds up a board in front of Bruce’s face, then punches it in half.

Bruce calmly says:

“Boards don’t hit back.”

Then (not-so-calmly) kills the guy.

Anyway, here’s the rub:

In fighting, there are lot of people with “flowery hands” who can do all kinds of flashy moves and feats in the safety of a classroom, impressing those who don’t know better… and, oftentimes, even being teachers of it to other hapless students. But then, in a real fight, get their azzes handed to them.

Same goes for some of these “high level” spiritual gurus popping up.

They’re all over flakebook, especially.

Put them in a situation where  they aren't preaching to their fanboys and ghouls, and have to compete against other experienced spiritual teachers like the Sringeri Shankarchayra who don’t buy into all the crap they are teaching and watch what happens:

Their chest pounding preaching bores readers to tears.

Ramakrishna said even Buddha struggled in explaining the truth in simple language to the common man.

There is a great difference between experience and expression.

The common man falls for the preaching, the popularity and the healing and miracles the real devotees look out for something else

The unseen transformation. Like dew drops that settle in their heart and awaken the Kundalini within

Vivekananda says Vedanta starts with tremendous pessimism but ends with tremendous optimism. It gets the job done.

It is not flowery but it gets the job done in record time. In many cases within days or weeks while the others basking in flowery emotion talk sway from one video and one course to another for decades without a ray of light

You cant fool your own Atman…

Vedanta transforms imagination into reality. Period

What is imagination to you is reality to another. 

 This is true in every area of our life.

 So never doubt your imagination for they have already become reality to many

 This step is proof of your faith. 

 God rewards those who show commitment. I spent 17 years on the feet of Krishna. If someone would have told me it would have taken me a lot of years i would not even have started but I never doubted the presence of God.. The delay is only because of not accepting what great ones said and acting on it

 Taking action on key areas of spirituality appears easy but 99.99% fail not because they lack the capacity but because they don’t follow the simple steps

 It is a sequence of steps. You may be doing many things right but if you don’t follow the sequence it will not break the delusion.

 Truth is not in the arrangement of words. It is in the sequence of words..
